The
flyers on the Lindrum wheels have a sliding yarn guide
that allows spinners to fill their bobbins evenly. There is a variety of interchangeable
heads so that you can do heavy, bulky yarns to lace-like threads. For those who
really want a change of pace, there is a quill head that attaches just as easily
as any of the other heads. The heads are quickly and easily changed by removing
one hand knob. The wheel folds flat just as easily by removing the lower hand
knob.

will find this wheel very user-friendly. It is also ready to spin in a second
and you can depend on it to work well every time you spin. With sealed bearings,
there is very little care needed regarding oiling. Also, the maple wood comes
with a sealed finish so there is no warping and very little care needed other
than dusting once in a while.

I recommend the double treadle wheel because of its smooth action and ease of control. The single treadle wheel is fine also, but not quite so efficient since you are using only one foot.
